Formation of E-Government

Supervisory Committee in Abu Dhabi

The Executive Committee of the Abu

Dhabi ExecutiveCouncil approved ina

meeting chaired by HE Dr. Ahmed Mubarak

Al Mazrouei, Chairman of Executive

Committee, formation of Abu Dhabi

E-Government Supervisory Committee.

Abu Dhabi E-Government Supervisory

Committee will be headed by Dr. Mugheer

Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of Health

Authority. In addition, it will include as

members Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, the Abu

Dhabi Department of Finance, Department

of Economic Development, Department

of Municipal Affairs, the Abu Dhabi City

Municipality, Al Ain Municipality, Western

Region Municipality, Abu Dhabi Health

Authority, Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity

Authority, Abu Dhabi Housing Authority,

Abu Dhabi Education Council, Abu Dhabi

Food Control Authority, General Directorate

of Residence and Foreigners’ Affairs, and

Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Center

ADSIC. ADSIC is the governmental body

responsible for ITC sector in Abu Dhabi

Emirate.

The formation of the committee is in line

with Abu Dhabi Government directions

that aim at improving e-government

capacities through establishing an effective

and innovative system that helps build a

sustainable digital base reflectingAbuDhabi

universal development in so many areas.

The committee further seeks to integrate

and direct government efforts as per

the best international practices in smart

government services. In such amanner that

enables Abu Dhabi Government to achieve

its goals under an integrated governmental

framework, that facilitates to government

bodies to better implementation of smart

services standards.

The committee will also review and

prepare progress reports and challenges

to implementation of government smart

services. Moreover, it will provide guidelines

necessary to review performance indicators

of e-government services, infrastructure,

design, procedures, and human capacities.

It will also make recommendations for

required improvements, in addition

to review and approve service-level

agreements SLAs.

The implementation of the digital

governance framework will contribute

to updating government services and

transforming into digital services in

addition to improving government bodies

services and work mechanisms. This would

help enhance AbuDhabi smart government

strategy. It will, therefore, ensure to carry

out such strategies on time.

Abu Dhabi Systems & Information

Centre ADSIC will coordinate with

government bodies and members and

carry out secretarial duties for Abu Dhabi

E-Government Supervisory Committee.
