Ajman Police, in collaboration and coor-
dination with Ajman’s public prosecution,
has released Al-Mersal mobile app. The
new app allows issuance of search and
arrest warrants during investigation, as
well as arresting suspects within 5-10
minutes without the need for papers or
third parties in a bid to save time, cost
and effort and enhance smart transfor-
mation in the emirate. The app makes
the issuance of search and arrest war-
rants easier and faster and can be used
around the clock.
Sending, receiving and approving mo-
bile search warrants will be done through
competent public prosecutors and autho-
rized police personnel in Ajman Police.
They will have a username and pass-
word. After being approved by the pros-
ecution, the warrant will be printed and
sent to the relevant entity for the sake of
organization and security.
The prosecution and Ajman Police will be
linked around the clock through the app,
making it easier and faster to issue the
necessary warrants for legal proceedings
and investigations.
Twitter just officially launched its “retweet
with comment” feature.
“Retweet with comment” allows users to
embed a tweet in their own tweets, which
lets them get around Twitter’s 140-char-
acter limit when they write their own com-
mentary.
Before this feature existed, users had
to do what’s called a “manual retweet,”
where they’d cram both the original tweet
(or a modified version) and any commen-
tary into the 140-character limit. Now, us-
ers can embed that original tweet within
their own message and then comment on
it in up to 116 characters.
The feature is now available on Twitter’s
site and iPhone app and will be available
on its Android app soon.
