Ajay Pathak, the General Manager – Mo-
bility & Solutions, Jumbo Electronics said
that middle-income consumers make up
the largest customer base in the UAE
market. He pointed out that this applies to
all sectors.
According to Ajay, high-priced smart-

diversify their products in this category, in-

smartphones amounted to 60% of such
sales.
He pointed out that the local market saw
the introduction of 7-10 new manufactur-
er brands last year, the majority of which
achieved a success and growth in their
sales, including Obi, Fly, Infix and WiGo,
all of which cost 800 AED and lower.
