Postal services in the UAE are provided by Emirates Post Group Company known as Emirates Post in short. According to Federal Decree-Law No. 21 of 2019 on Emirates Post Group Company, the company is owned by the Emirates Investment Authority, which is the federal entity that owns and manages the federal government’s investments in a number of companies and sectors.

The UAE postal sector is regulated by the Postal Sector Regulatory Committee, which is formed by a Cabinet decision based on a proposal from the Emirates Investment Authority. This committee is responsible for proposing regulations for the UAE postal sector and submitting them to the Cabinet for approval.
The regulation defines a number of prohibited actions, including providing postal or delivery services without the required licence, or carrying out regulated postal activities without prior approval. It also prohibits the use or imitation of official postal mailboxes, the counterfeiting or misuse of postage stamps and postal materials, and the circulation of such items. In addition, it forbids the unauthorised use of postal names, logos or terms, the reuse or alteration of postage stamps, and any tampering with or forgery of postal seals and franking machines.
