U-Ask is the UAE Government’s AI-powered conversational assistant designed to simplify access to government information and services through natural language.
U-Ask represents a shift from a traditional method of delivery of digital services based on websites and applications to a more intuitive and conversational model powered by artificial intelligence. It reduces complexity, saves time, and enhances accessibility by meeting users on platforms they already use.
The platform is built on an integrated system of government digital enablers, including digital authentication through UAE Pass and smart system integration using APIs. This enables government entities to deliver a more personalised and proactive information and services that adapt to users’ needs in real time; thus, improving customer experience and quality of life.
It places special focus on supporting groups such as senior citizens and people of determination, by providing easier and more flexible communication channels through text, voice and video. This helps users access services and complete government transactions more easily while promoting inclusive digital services for all members of society.
U-Ask also serves as a national digital enabler that strengthens government integration, supports the Whole-of-Government (WoG) approach, and reinforces the UAE’s position as a global leader in digital transformation and government innovation.
U-Ask leverages advanced AI technologies, including large language models, to understand users’ intent and deliver accurate, context aware responses. It enables the users to ask questions easily and receive instant, accurate responses, while seamlessly getting guided to relevant services. The system communicates in Arabic and English, and can translate responses into more than 30 languages to support a wide range of users, including people outside the UAE.
