Agentic AI for Government Services

The UAE Government’s framework to deploy Agentic AI across government operations mandates the use of Agentic AI in 50 per cent of government sectors, services and operations by 2028. The framework will help redesign government services and operations, enabling AI systems to analyse information, make decisions and carry out authorised tasks. This will help improve the speed and efficiency of government services while reducing operating costs. The initiative also includes developing government employees’ AI skills and establishing clear governance frameworks to ensure that Agentic AI is used responsibly, safely and effectively.

As part of this effort, the National Committee for Agentic AI launched a unified guide for designing government services using Agentic AI, to help government entities develop simpler and more connected services. The guide focuses on enabling AI assistants to understand users’ needs, identify the required steps, use available information, carry out authorised actions and follow requests through to completion, while protecting users’ privacy and providing human support when needed.
