Development Authority warns from
some smart phones apps named children
police or any other similar names used by
parents to scare their children.
Recently, smart apps haves been spread
use policeman profession as a means
used by some parents to scare their
children as a pressure to force them do
some duties such as sleeping, keeping
quiet, stop noising, or eating. The
application allows to users to select some
required instructions to urge children for
example to keep quiet, to eat or any other
duties. This app deludes the children that
a call is being made with a police officer
and a recorded audio of supposed police
officer asks the child to perform the duties
requested by own parents otherwise he/
she will be arrested.
Such recoded audios in that app are
available in different dialects such as Gulf,
Egyptian, Syrian, and Moroccan.

Authority said that threating children
with police to urge them to do perform
any duties instills scare in their souls and
breaks trust in parents in additionweakens
parental word in children.
She explained that passivity in such
a matter is not limited to children
relationship with parents but it exceeds
that to form a bad image of police officer
in children furthermore such an image
will be linked with scare and hatred
senses in children instead of respect and
recognition as police officers maintain
community security and safety.
She called for parents to refrain from
threating children with police officers
directly or indirectly in particularly using
this app and using instead educational
methods such as persuasion and
motivation in order to urge their children
to execute their duties.
