App urges children to
adopt a healthy life-style

Heath Champions app with Manaa & Salama –app two personalities- is
intended to urge children to adopt a healthy life-style via providing them
with information and skills necessary.
The App exhibited by Ministry of Heath in its participation in 5th Heath & Fitness
Fun Festival 2016 contains a number of interactive games that provide children
with information and skills apart from traditional method.
3D world is one of the games that provides information in 3D images in addition
to Little Sheriff game that provides children with favorite meal recipes in a healthy
manner. While Manaa & Salama Adventures tests the children health information
with option to upgrade to a higher level after completion of a number of steps
of physical activities increase in each level. Diaries program allows children to
control their health behaviors to get points each time do healthy practices such
drinking water, eating required amount of fruit and vegetables in addition to
physical exercises. However, they will lose points when not do healthy practices
such as drinking sweetened drinks.
The app allows children an opportunities to compete with their peers in a number
of programs in order to encourage them to adopt healthy life-style.
The participating children interacted in Health & Fitness Fun Festival 2016 which
is considered so special as it provoked their enthusiasm and they asked to play
more times.
