DoT develops technology updates in
relation to vacant car parks in Abu Dhabi
via DARB smart app. This app users can
view a map of vacant car parks in their
smart phones easily.
DoT works currently to install electronic
models in all parks and in multi-storey car
parks buildings under the Department of
Transport in Abu Dhabi Emirate in order
to provide information to smart system
in control centers in order to know the
car parks status in the targeted areas
automatically. Then, it will be presented as
feedback that DARB smart app users take
benefits of updates.
DoT assigned a team specialized works 24
/7 to monitor operating system process.
This team has been received training
courses in order to improve their efficiency
in providing high speed and quality
services.
DoT also indicated that the app updates will
achieve many important objectives such
as the vehicle driver will know the vacant
car parks in advance. It also added that the
system operationmechanism requires that
the user smart phone must be provided
with GPS –Geographical Positioning
System and connected with internet.
The app allows the users to complain or
report accidents and provide them
with bus stops and arrival dates
in addition to sea transport
related information and ferries schedules
and any changes made to the Unified
Address System in Abu Dhabi Island.
The app can be download for free from the
smart phone stores operated by ios and
android systems.
