The Museum transforms the
UAE into a global destination
in the innovation industry
It will bring together the brightest research-
ers, designers, inventors and financiers
under one roof. Museum of the Future is
integrated environment empowering cre-
ative minds to test, fund and market ideas
for futuristic prototypes and services.
The Museum of the Future will include
the world’s best innovation hub and is ex-
pected to open in 2017 to be the largest
platform to test ideas, and develop tech-
nological solutions to challenges in the
education, health, smart cities, transport
and energy fields.
The structure will incorporate bespoke
technology including major sections built
using 3D printing construction techniques.
The Museum will be located in the Emir-
ates Towers area near Sheikh Zayed
Road in Dubai. Visitors will be able to ex-
perience the future through cutting-edge
simulations and interactive demonstra-
tions.
The Museum will also have a group of in-
novation labs focusing on health, educa-
tion, smart cities, energy and transport in
addition to a permanent section on future
innovations in all fields. It will host labs
to generate and test ideas, particularly in
development fields pertaining to the chal-
lenges facing various countries.
It will provide a platform to demonstrate
and test the latest inventions from world-
leading tech giants and up-and-coming
start-ups, as well as collaborations be-
tween companies and leading research
institutes and universities.
The Museum, which features a permanent
exhibit for future inventions, will also hold
advanced courses, specialized workshops
and scientific conferences on design and
innovation covering the latest scientific de-
velopments, trends and designs as well as
their practical applications.
Once fully functioning, the Museum will
become a major center for anticipating fu-
ture trends in all scientific and technologi-
cal fields.
It will collaborate with governments from
all over the world to develop solutions for
their current and future work and service
challenges. It will contribute strongly to ed-
ucation by developing new curricula and
novel approaches for students all over the
world in collaboration with the brightest
and most experienced global experts.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin
Rashid Al Maktoum instructed to cre-
ate a Board of Trustees for the Museum
of the Future to be chaired by His High-
ness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed
bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of
Dubai and His Excellency Mohammed bin
Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet
Affairs to act as its vice president.
The Board of Trustees will include several
high-profile national figures to oversee
the Museum and develop and implement
a long-term strategy for the Museum to
ensure it achieves its goals in being the
largest incubator of innovation in the Arab
World. The Board of Trustees will include
the Minister of Education, His Excellency
Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Min-
ster of Health His Excellency Abdul Rah-
man Al Owais, Director General of Office
of the Prime Minister of the UAE, Ohood
Roumi, Director General of Dubai Munici-
pality Eng. Hussain Lootah, Chairman of
Roads & Trasport Authority – Dubai, Mr.
Mattar Al Tayer and General Khamis Mat-
ter Al Mazeina, the Commander-in-Chief
of Dubai Police.
Also on the Board of Trustees are Saeed
Al Tayer, Dubai Electricity & Water Author-
ity’s Managing Director & Chief Executive
Officer, Ahmad Bin Byat, Chief Executive
Officer of Dubai Holding, Abdullah Al Hab-
bai, Chairman of Meraas Holding Group,
Muna Al Gurg from Dubai Culture & Arts
Authority and a representative from the
Emirates Group.
