Launches Museum of the Future
While others predict the future,
wecreate it
His Highness said that the Museum of
the Future represents one of the UAE’s
major knowledge ambitions, one of its
key dreams for its people and one of the
UAE’s future key pillars.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin
Rashid Al Maktoum called for allocating a
large endowment for the Museum to guar-
antee its continuation for generations to
come.
Sheikh Mohammed continued saying that

Al Nahyan, UAE President, has declared
2015 to be the year of innovation in the
UAE. Today, we show how serious and
committed we are to that mission by turn-
ing the UAE into a major international des-
tination for innovators.
“The Museum of the Future will be an in-
cubator for ideas and real designs, a driver
for innovation and a global destination for
investors and entrepreneurs. Here in the
UAE we think differently. While others try
to predict the future, we create it,” Sheikh
Mohammed added.
The Museum of the Future will provide
permanent home for the world’s great-
est innovations. The Museum will work to
stimulate and incubate imaginative solu-
tions to the challenges of future cities.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of
Dubai said that transforming into a knowledge economy requires building cadres, developing innovations and
adopting new scientific breakthroughs. He noted that while others predict the future, we create it. This came
during the launch ceremony of the Museum of the Future, which was also attended by His Highness Sheikh
Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai. “The world is entering a new era of
accelerated knowledge and great technological revolutions. We aim to lead in that era, not to follow and lag
behind. The Museum of the Future is the first step of many to come, marking the beginning of great achieve-
ments,” His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said.
