The National Archives continues its efforts to shape its strategy in the next 50 years. It is a long-term vision, looking forward to the contours of the future and the vital plans and projects required to maintain its excellence and achieve further progress as one of the major global archives.
The National Archives seeks to preserve, document and archive the memory of the nation in the next half century in accordance with the world's highest standards and practices, and in keeping with advanced and renewable technologies.
It reflects on its accomplishments in the previous stage, as it not only preserved and made available the memory of the UAE in the last half century, but it also delved into the UAE's past. The NA has traced the civilizations that the Emirates region had experienced since the dawn of history, up to its present flourishing civilization, which began at the hands of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the founding fathers, and reached all parts of the world at the present time.
The National Archives has always documented the past, recorded the present and anticipated the future. The development of the next strategic plan certainly comes in the context of anticipating the future and sustaining the advanced archival work according to the highest standards, and in line with the development and progress that the future holds in various fields related to archival work.
The National Archives aims to invite its audience to participate in shaping the future of the archiving sector and history preservation in the next 50 years.
