His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has launched "Design the UAE Future" campaign, with the goal of engaging the society members in shaping the UAE future and setting the comprehensive development plan for the next 50 years starting from the UAE's Golden Jubilee in 2021 until the UAE's Centennial in 2071.
The Telecom and digital government sectors are vital pillars in the comprehensive development plan of the UAE. Telecom infrastructure and digital government infrastructure are now important drives for digital economy, which the UAE is seeking to enhance.
Therefore, the Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (TRA) is wants to engage the society members to shape the future of Telecom and digital government sectors, based on its responsibility for these two vital sectors, which are integral part of the UAE comprehensive development plan for the next 50 years.
Your participation will achieve the below goals:
1. Providing ideas on development of the Telecom and digital government sectors, to contribute to the UAE comprehensive development plan for the next 50 years
2. Identifying challenges of the Telecom and digital government sectors, to be inputs for the plan.
The consultation aims at engaging the society members to design the UAE Future in Telecom and digital government sectors, provide ideas and identify challenges to be inputs for the UAE comprehensive development plan for the next 50 years.
We will collect and sort all ideas and opinions, analyse outputs and search for innovative ideas that serve the UAE 2071 vision. We will document all ideas with images, videos and owner names. After that will create a report of all ideas and inputs to be studied and inserted in the UAE comprehensive development plan for the next 50 years.
The consultation of designing the future of the UAE in the field of ICT was met with great interaction by users, as they presented new and inspiring suggestions and ideas to advance the telecommunications sector and digital government and thus facilitate obtaining government services that meet their requirements.
These promising ideas have been submitted to the relevant authority in the Cabinet to issue a report with all ideas and for a comprehensive development plan for the next 50 years.
