The concept of distance learning is to deliver the educational material to the learner by using the means of information technology to the location of the learner so that the learner can engage in the educational process without attending the geographical place of education.
The emergence of distance education can be linked to education by correspondence, whereby the learner was provided with a paper-based educational curriculum by sending it by regular mail, and with this, a date was set for the exam. The learner must attend in person to the educational institution’s headquarters to provide written and oral tests.
Some educational institutions and universities called open universities followed this methodology, as the learner used to rely on himself in reading and understanding the written educational materials and preparing for the test with the possibility of seeking the help of some local specialists in the subject of specialization and the matter developed after that with the development of modern technologies such as radio and television And some educational institutions have resorted to broadcasting educational materials through these channels. It is worth noting that the Ministry of Education in some countries has adopted public television channels or private educational television channels to broadcast remedial lessons for the curricula, especially the curriculum of the last preparatory or high school stage in this regard.
Along with the industrial revolution and the emergence of computers and the Internet, many universities have adopted the partial distance education system by providing the opportunity for communication between the teacher and learners regarding directing inquiries after completing the lecture or presenting research and correspondence between the lecturer and the learner, and some universities have adopted the total distance education system. Through the electronic training bags, and then the matter developed into smart training bags, in which the actual lecturer was dispensed with, and the role of the lecturer and the educational institution was limited to supervising the educational content and the educational materials became available (24/7) around the clock, where the learner can choose the appropriate time He has, which facilitated enrollment in education and training for many people who cannot adhere to coming to the headquarters of the educational institution.
Although distance training was a method used by many educational and training institutions, it was used with a clump when the Covid-19 (Corona) pandemic appeared in various fields, The Judicial Training Institute has been required to continue basic training courses for prosecutors and lawyers to relate to the duration of the training requirement and has continued to conduct ongoing training courses, hold seminars for members of the Ministry of Justice and those related to distance legal work and bring this exceptional circumstance to the end. To stimulate the management capabilities of the Institute to search for the best means and methods and to provide the best of their abilities to carry out the training programs in a most effective manner.
The advantages of distance training can be summarized in the following points:
Reducing time and disengagement from the training venue:
The adoption of distance training reduced the duration for the trainee as it took time to reach the institute's headquarters. While distance learning can save time for attendance at training headquarters and does not need to be present at the training location and only requires entering a device Computer or even a mobile phone.
Providing the opportunity to attend programs outside the state for the trainee and to benefit from a trainer outside the state:
Distance training allows you to attend training courses regardless of their location, as it does not require that the trainee be present in the country in which the training is, which saves time and money for visa-entry or booking of travel tickets, hotel cost, etc. It is possible to benefit from the lecturers from outside the country and to save time and money.
