In his speech, His Excellency Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Cultural Advisor to His Highness the President of the UAE and Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University, welcomed the participants to the forum and said, "The United Nations has set 17 Sustainable Development Goals as part of its 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The United Arab Emirates is committed to achieving each of these goals. The UAE seeks to strike a balance between social and economic development and the need to protect our natural resources for future generations.

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Murad, Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of the Forum and Associate Provost for Research at the United Arab Emirates University, explained that this forum aims to highlight the UAEU's leading role in achieving the national agenda, which is related to the sixth goal of the sustainable development goals. Through research, innovation, and the development of academic programs that increase the student's role as an effective contributor to the development witnessed by the country.
