Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation - MoHRE has a guide on job titles and skill levels. Each profession in the private sector is assigned to one of five applicable skill levels. A skill level is measured in terms of academic qualifications and experience needed and complexity of work involved. Skill level one jobs are for the highly-skilled and skill level five jobs are for the lower skilled.
Employees holding a job of skill levels one, two and three are required to submit their academic qualifications duly attested in order to get a work permit from the ministry. Professions of skill levels four and five do not require academic qualifications.
The cost of work permits depends on the firm’s classification with the ministry. You may enquire about the cost from Tasheel, the provider of MoHRE labour services.
