COVID-19 vaccine for children

Sinopharm vaccine can be given to children in the age group of 3 to 15 years and Pfizer vaccine can be given to children from the age of 12 years.

*3rd dose of Pfizer vaccine can be given after one month (30 days of second dose only for high-risk categories) which include:

  1. moderately to severely immunocompromised people
  2. those who have an active tumor and hematologic malignancy or have recently received treatment for the same
  3. solid organ transplant recipients or patients who have undergone Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT)
  4. those who have a severe primary immunodeficiency
  5. advanced or untreated HIV
  6. patients undergoing active treatment with agents that are immunosuppressive or immunomodulatory.

 

**High risk groups can get a booster dose of Sinopharm vaccine after 3 months from the second dose. They include:

  1. UAE citizens and their domestic helpers
  2. individuals above 50 years old
  3. patients with chronic diseases
  4. obese people
  5. smokers
  6. frontline heroes
  7. individuals with a weak immunity.
