A system that sorts government services according to their categories as approved by the Cabinet. It constitutes a reference for government services.
G2G connectivity
FedNet provides connectivity between the government entities, which will enable them to share data over the encrypted Federal Government Private MPLS Cloud. Accordingly, the entities can securely publish and access services from each other once connected.
G2G connectivity features include:
- Enabling new G2G connectivity
- Connecting other FedNet entities to the G2G hosting entity
- Incident and request handling
- Segregating major incident handling from other incidents
- Monthly reporting to business owner on SLA

Government shared internet service
The FedNet provides a secure internet connection to all federal government entities through a dual internet service provider, hence allowing maximum productivity. This service provides a unified access to the internet in federal entities and reduces vulnerability to network intruder attacks by limiting gaps.

- linking the services hosted by the entity with internet
- designating public Internet Protocols for internet services hosted by the entity
- development of the internet domain
- blocking websites and services as per the requirements of the entity

Infrastructure as a service (IaaS)
The FedNet allows on demand an appropriate access to a set of configurable computing resources such as: networks, servers and storage. This is achieved through the adoption of a central model to provide these services, thereby ensuring minimum effort and time.

The FedNet team is responsible for observing and monitoring the events and procedures of the FedNet round the clock, ensuring that the necessary actions are taken in case of errors or violations, regardless of their level.

Security event management
A Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system is operated by a dedicated 24x7x365 security operations centre (SOC) to manage all Security events within FedNet.
FedNet contains a number of security measures that include firewalls, Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS), Threat Management, Anti-Virus, SPAM filtering, encryption, public key infrastructure (PKI) and application firewalls.
The FedNet infrastructure incidents are monitored 24x7x365 by the SOC and appropriate measures are taken for all incidents.

eMail is the first service which FedNet provides to federal government entities as an on-demand software. The centralised environment for the eMail is available through Microsoft Office 2013.
