On 16 August 2020, Ministry of Education (MoE) announced that higher education institutes will go for blended learning, which prioritises remote learning in the first tem of the academic year 2020-2021.
Majority of students will be offered online classes; while university campuses and physical attendance classes will be limited only to a few staff members and students who are required to use laboratory and clinical research and training facilities.
The partial re-opening of universities and colleges will be subject to MoE’s set of protocols, requirement and precautions that must be followed by all educational facilities to achieve a safe, healthy and stimulating learning environment when operating during the COVID-19 pandemic.
