The UAE Food Bank is a humanitarian initiative launched under the umbrella of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) and managed by Dubai Municipality. The bank aims to collect surplus food from hotels, restaurants, food factories, farms, and suppliers and distribute it safely to those in need, both inside and outside the UAE.

The bank operates through a network of partners and volunteers that includes food establishments, charitable organizations, and logistics providers. Surplus food that meets safety and quality standards is collected, stored, and redistributed under strict hygiene procedures supervised by Dubai Municipality.
Since its establishment in 2017, the UAE Food Bank has distributed millions of meals locally and abroad, helping strengthen the UAE’s position as a global leader in humanitarian and sustainability initiatives.
Individuals and organizations can support the UAE Food Bank by donating surplus food, sponsoring food boxes, or volunteering in collection and distribution efforts.
