Under the 1 Billion Meals Endowment campaign, a food endowment fund with a value of AED 1 billion was set up. The campaign aims to implement effective sustainable programmes to fight and eradicate hunger.

The campaign reflects the UAE’s approach to humanitarian aid and its commitment to developing long-term solutions to improve human lives across the world, without any discrimination.

The 1 Billion Meals Endowment is an expansion of the UAE’s previous Ramadan campaigns 1 Billion Meals, 100 Million Meals and 10 Million Meals, organised in 2020, 2021 and 2022 respectively under the directives of H. H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The campaign opens the door for institutions, companies, businessmen and individuals to contribute to sustainable humanitarian work, through endowment funds that support community and social development projects.
