Dubai Resilience Strategy

The Dubai Resilience Strategy is a comprehensive framework to enhance the city’s readiness and ability to adapt to future challenges.

 

The strategy focuses on ensuring the continuity of essential services and critical business operations, strengthening social and economic security, and developing resilient infrastructure capable of adapting to climate and geopolitical changes; reinforcing Dubai’s position as one of the world’s most future-ready cities.

 

The strategy is built around 5 key goals, which are:

  1. ensuring the availability of basic needs under all circumstances
  2. enhancing social security
  3. building a strong and resilient economy
  4. developing robust and adaptive infrastructure
  5. establishing reliable and effective governance.

 

Dubai Resilience Centre

Dubai Resilience Centre (DRC) was set up under Decree No. 48 of 2024 Establishing the Dubai Resilience Centre.

 

The DRC aims to:

  1. position the emirate of Dubai at the forefront in Resilience in Incident management, thereby reinforcing its international standing
  2. enhance the emirate's preparedness and capabilities in taking preventive measures in response to, and recovery and transition from incidents
  3. coordinate and direct joint efforts to efficiently and effectively manage incidents
  4. serve as a reference entity that manages, and ensures the implementation of the Resilience strategy in the emirate, and
  5. raise public awareness of the procedures for managing incidents, and implement the approved resilience methodologies.
