National Policy for Improving Women’s Health
The National Policy for Improving Women’s Health aims to develop a multi-sectoral national framework to promote women's health by providing high quality and efficient health services in curative, preventive and rehabilitative areas.
The policy further aims to:
- reduce the cancer mortality rate to 23.24 per 100,000 females
- reduce the mortality rate to 62.77 per 100,000 females
- reduce health issues arising from unhealthy lifestyle (like obesity and lack of physical activity) by 3 per cent.
