Dubai’s Comprehensive Flexible Mobility Plan aims to increase road safety and reduce carbon footprint. It will adopt the latest advances in public transit infrastructure and promote alternative modes of transportation.
As per the plan, pedestrian crossings, speed bumps, bike lanes and parking slots will be increased significantly. The plan foresees 23 per cent of Dubai’s population commuting by public transportation by 2025. It will serve 1.5 million inhabitants, equivalent to 40 per cent of Dubai’s residents.
