His Excellency added that the national event
to celebrate innovation and innovators and
promoting the culture of innovation in the
community, has established itself as the
largestofitskindandthemostattractiveofall
segments of society to participate in setting
the future of UAE, making it a key pillar in
the government›s work to implement the
national strategy for innovation launched
by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed
bin Rashid Al Maktoum to develop the
government work on innovative bases that
conform with the targets of the national
agenda to achieve UAE vision 2021.
His Excellency Mohammed bin Abdullah
Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs
and the future, president of the National
Committee for Science, Technology and
Innovation, president of the Supreme
Committee for Emirates Innovation Week
considered the event a national event to
celebrate innovation and innovators and
reflects the orientations of UAE leadership
to encourage the adoption of innovation as
work approach and community culture.
He stressed on the importance of the
concerted efforts of all parties, including
the government and private sector, the
bodies and the community institutions
and building effective partnerships to lay
the foundations for building
knowledge based society.
He said ‘UAE has succeeded in
creating a conducive environment
for people with outstanding ideas
through the initiative of UAE Innovation
Week and other initiatives to pave theway
to build a knowledge-based economy
by focusing on seven key sectors,
namely; the renewable power,
technology, education, health,
transport, water and space.

which was organized under
the patronage of His Highness

Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice
President, Prime Minister
and Ruler of Dubai, focused
on motivating the members
of the community and
engage them in designing
innovations
that
offer
solutions for the challenges
and contribute in the
development of lifestyles in
accordance with the vision
of the future to support
government policies to
improve society so as to
enhance the status of UAE
among themost innovative
countries.
