His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin
Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President,
PrimeMinister and Ruler of Dubai, May Allah
Protect Him confirmed the importance of
following the scientific development and
the knowledge revolution that is witnessed
nowadays by the world in order to return our
role as civilization makers.
His Highness said: ‘the deep transformations
that are witnessed by the region and the
accompanying challenges force us to
cope with the international development,
following the knowledge revolution directly
from the resources and intensifying the
work to take advantage of latest scientific
and technology updates in order to enhance
the performance levels, accelerate the
development march in our region and
support its ability to occupy the appropriate
position as a cradle of the humanitarian
civilization.
His Highness stressed that the great side of the
accelerated developments that are witnessed
by the world in this stage is referred to the
huge scientific development that has taken
the humanity to unprecedented status of
approachingbetweensocieties and individuals.
His Highness pointed out that many
economic, social and cultural standards
and concepts have changed due to this
transformation caused by the information
revolution that is still in its utmost level
of strength and the accompanying new
phenomena, notably the proliferation of
social networking platforms which effect is
considered in its formation stage according
to His Highness.

the social media in the people’s live where he
warned frommaking it as awaste of time and
invited all parties to use it as an effective tool
to serve the goals of building and developing.
His Highness said: ‘there is no doubt that
social media has left evident effects on
the people’s life and granted outstanding
individuals in their fields a great capability
to affect their surrounding from millions of
followers on the social platforms. However, it
is important to pay attention that the ability
to make a positive influence in the society is
a great chance that requires appropriate use
to develop the societies, motivate the abilities
of their members and confirm their chances
to success by adopting and spreading the
targeted enlightened thinking, appreciating
the oustandingmodels and encouraging the
creative positive energies as bases to occupy
the distinguished positions in all the fields’.

led by Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al
Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister
of Interior, the winner for the category of
individuals in the government sector for His
Highness great interactionwith themembers
of the community and investing the social
media to improve the quality of service
delivery and achieve customers satisfaction.
His Highness also honoured His Highness
Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, hHead
of the Supreme Council for Youth and
Sports President of the Bahrain Olympic
Committeeand thewinner among theyouth
category, for his outstanding contribution in
the recruitment of social media in a positive
way in order to motivate young people to
participate effectively in the society.
His Highness also honored Sheikh Majid Al
Sabah the winner of tourism category for
his contribution in the investment of social
networks and in particular the application of
«Snap Chat» in enhancing the interaction
between thepeoples, andencourage themto
preserve the Gulf and Arab cultural heritage,
and his eagerness to introduce the character
of the tolerant Arab nations and their simple
nature.
