UAE is paying special attention to Innovation which has become

an integrated system and the specialized teams are continuously

working on establishing a stable social and government culture.

These efforts were crowned with many initiatives, programs and

events that have produced inventive services and creations that

serve the public interest.

UAE has early realised the importance of depending on new

legislations and supportive laws when registering an invention,

in addition to a clear national policy that is accredited by His

Highness Skeikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE,

May Allah Protect Him, accompanied by a clear strategy andHuge

budgets that are allocated to support innovation.

Our country has considered innovation as a national priority for

development, a major tool to accomplish the vision 2021 and a

collective umbrella for the powers and distinguished active cadres

in UAE. Therefore, the wise leadership is seeking to strengthen

innovation and creativity in all the domains to present real

services and products that improve life and push the economy

towards new horizons.

This edition also coincides with the beginning of Emirate

InnovationWeek held betweenNovember 20th to 26th, which has

witnessed a big competition between the private and government

authorities that work on establishing innovation and creativity

between its employees and clients.

This week is considered one of the biggest innovation initiatives

in the world, in which the efforts of the government, the private

sector and the individuals are unified to help in spreading a wide

innovation culture in the country, and enhancing its position as

an international centre of Innovation.

The organization of this event is considered a translation to UAE

distinction in innovation since its foundation; this matter has

contributed in enhancing its social and economic position and

made it the destination for talents and business in as very short

time.

In an investigation conducted by ‘E-Government’, researchers

and university professors in national universities requested the

establishment of ‘Union of companies’ that adopts and supports

the inventions produced by the promising Emirati brains. They

have all agreed that the creative projects require support and

financing from the competent authorities that are related to

the researches conducted in the educational institutions, to be

executed and applied on reality for the public interest.

This edition reviews one of the participating ideas in ‘Afkari’
