UN E-Government Survey on the E-government
development. The survey revealed that the UAE has
achieveddistinguishedresultsintheE-Government
Development Index, as it ranked first at the Arab
level and East Asia, ranked third in Asia, and eighth
globally.
In an interview with «Smart Government»,
Richard Kirby, a senior interregional adviser on
e-government and knowledge management of UN
Department on economic and social, pointed out
that the citizen participation in decision-making
is a key pillar in the UAE. He considered that the
basis of success depends on the citizen interaction
with the government policies and trends that shall
mainly target the citizen interest and easily provide
services to himas soon as possible. He underscored
that the UAE government i working to ensure
greatest happiness and satisfaction to citizens.
The UN expert has praised the UAE›s plans, which
makes its way with insight and confidence in order
to transform to the smart services, noting that the
UAE managed to realize this accomplishment
through working on long-medium-short term
schedules.
However, several specialists warned through
report in this Issue No. 34 of the spread of several
smart applications, which pose risks for adults and
children as well.
The report emphasized that the dissemination of
extremism and hatred of extremism, hatred and
violencehasno longerneed to traditional platforms,
after the spread of smart applications and social
media programs. Those who have special agendas

smart phones.

breach users› privacy or to ambush them in remote
places to attack them or rob their properties.
