Hamad Al Mansoori

Mohammed Al Qamzi

Hamad Al Mansoori:

We’ve began preparations for the

next phase of smart transformation

Al Qamzi also expressed his delight

upon the prestigious award won by

the UAE mGov during the World

Summit on the Information Soci-

ety Awards (WSIS), on the capacity

building category, for the mGov Inno-

vation Centre, which was launched

by the TRA. The mGov Innovation

Centre was established to be one of

the central pillars of the smart trans-

formation in the UAE and one of the

essential drivers of innovation and

employment of ICT to serve the ob-

jectives of the mGov.

This came during the brainstorm

session about the future of smart

services. The session was attended

by officials of government entities

and His Highness Sheikh Moham-

med bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE

Vice President and Prime Minister

and Ruler of Dubai.

Al Qamzi said: “Every accomplish-

ment achieved towards smart trans-

formation is a leap to go to a higher

stage. We have learned from our

wise leadership that the greatest

achievement is yet to come, so ev-

ery success for us represents a driv-

ing force towards the next step. On

the smart transformation trip there is

a vision that brings us all together,

the 2021 Vision, which put the UAE

on its position as one of the best

countries in the world”.

Al Qamzi added: “It is a matter of

pride that the echoes if this wining

was among the participants in one

of the most global forums WSIS,

which contributes to promoting the

UAE’s reputation in the field of in-

novation and creativity, especially

in light of the declaration of the wise

leadership of making 2015 the year

of innovation in the UAE”.

H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Di-

rector General of mGov commenting

on this triumph said: “The inaugura-

tion of the Center of Digital Innova-

tion came within the stages of imple-

menting the road map of the mGov

during the 2 years period, which

represents a central service for the

benefit of the federal or local enti-

ties, as it provides training and con-

sultancy services in various areas of

smart transformation, also features

a laboratory for mobile applications,

the first of its kind in the region”.

The Centre of Digital Innovation

(CoDI) for the mGov is a joint cen-

tral service, which is in line with the

government’s future directions in the

field of connectivity. In this regard, Al

Mansouri pointed out that the team

of the mGov has already began

preparations for the next phase of

smart transformation as a result of

the brainstorm session about mGov,

which was attended by hundreds of

agents, managers and officials of

the mGov services to discuss the

most important future ideas for the

development of mGov services.

Al Mansouri said: “There are four

guidelines that lead us through

the next phase, and these guide-

lines represent the wise directives

and are summarized in connecting

smart services federally and locally,

enhance the quality of services, in-

crease usage, and raise satisfac-

tion on mGov services. We have

seen during the brainstorming ses-

sion a flood of perceptions put for-

ward by the government officials on

ways to apply those trends on the

ground, and we are currently work-

ing to develop practical plans in line

with that”.
