The mGovernment Center of Digi-
tal Innovation (CoDI) won the World
Summit on the Information Society
Awards (WSIS) award on the capac-
ity building category. WSIS is held in
Geneva, Switzerland.
Majed Sultan Al Mesmar, TRA Depu-
ty Director General, and head of the
UAE delegation to WSIS, received
the award.
CoDI won the award in C4, the ca-
pacity building category, which saw
aggressive competition between 30
projects from all over the world.
Commenting on this triumph, Al Mes-

Director, said that winning this award
is a translation of the dedication, team
work and ongoing cooperation among
all employees and supervisors work-
ing on this distinguished project.
Al Madhloum added that the winning
of this award coincides with the end
of the two-year deadline given by our
wise leadership to complete the smart
transformation process. This reflects
the competence, hard work and de-
termination to execute national plans
and projects on set dates.
The WSIS forum is a high-level inter-
national platform in which efforts are
coordination among different coun-
tries with regard to ICT matters.
The mGov Center of Digital Innova-
tion (CoDI) is an integrated lab that
does mobile application testing. It
aims to increase customer trust in the
mobile apps developed by govern-
ment entities in the UAE.
The mGov lab offers its services re-
motely to government entities and
universities based in the UAE.
