if all the items appear together in a
drop down list.
The sitemap is well organized and
helps the user reach any section
easily.
The search tool does not work
(screenshot 2).
Hyperlinks are well displayed. How-
ever, it’s advisable that the colour
gets changed after clicking on the
links (usually non-visited links are
blue and they become red when
clicked on).
Content:
Website content is a very crucial ele-
ment in ensuring its success in meet-
ing users’ needs and expectations.
The content should be succinct and
provide users with the information
they need, without being distracted
by unnecessary messages.
Following are a few remarks on
Zakat Fund website in this regard:
The website is rich in information
and services. The language used is
smooth and easy to read.
There’s an FAQ section. However,
the English page is not accessible
from the link in the footer and the an-
swers need to presented in a better
way (screenshot 3).
Some links are not clickable in the
English site and need better phras-
ing in Arabic (screenshot 4).
The website provides various com-
munication channels including social
media. However, the Fund’s Face-
book page is a personal account not
an institutional one (screenshot 5).
Final Remarks:
The aim of this quick review is to
highlight the main features and
unique characteristics of the website,
in addition to a few areas that can be
imporved in order to provide a better
user experience.
The website was reviewed from 26-
