supporting business environments.
Issue no. 8 of mGov sheds light on open data through a report on Baya-
nat.ae, which is an online portal that provides a large number of data and
statistics related to the services offered by the UAE government in various
sectors.
Open data confirms creativity for the benefit of society and markets in gen-
eral. Open data effectively contributes in reinforcing successful decisions
in economic and social fields through making the necessary information
available to create investments and make vertical and horizontal expan-
sion decisions.
The UAE gives much attention to the open data policy to make govern-
ment data and information available for the benefit of the public. By adopt-
ing such policy, government data and information are available to users
