Introductory session

on UAE Innovation Week in Sharjah

Ministry of Finance launched the private

electronic cloud technology, in order to

provide a secured and available information

infrastructure, automatically, with least level

of intervention by the heads and operators

of the electronic systems.

The special electronic cloud accomplish

a variety of advantages and revenues

regarding the increase of the speed and

quality of the information technology

services since it enhances the artificial

intelligence, automatic operation in

accordance with the best international

standards, in addition to the possibility

to expand and merge with the ability to

manage and operate the transactions and

comprehend the work cycles at its best

image.

This technique works on increasing the

efficiency and the speed of accomplishing

the government work by reducing the

operational and capital cost and depending

on the economics of the hypothetical

technology,

applying

information

structure that copes with the variations

in the business sector, while the control

contributes in controlling the army

information technologyand thenetworking

classification, in addition to fulfilling the

policies and lists of the information security,

reducing themalfunction period, providing

the highest degree of protection and the

utmost availability.

The general Secretariat of Sharjah Executive

Council has organized in Sharjah Chamber

of Commerce and Industry an introductory

session onUAE InnovationWeek whichwill

be held fromNovember 20th to 26th.

Shatha Al Hashemi, Director of Mohammed

Bin Rashid Centre for Government

Innovation has spoken in the session

with the presence of Heads, Directors and

representatives of different government

institutions in the emirate.

The session has addressed the definition

of UAE Innovation Week, the national and

unique event on the world level, which is

annually organized within the month of

November and celebrates Innovation in

addition to more than 1000 events and

major and subsidiary activities in all the

emirates of the state.

During the session, Shatha Al Hashemi

reviewed the core meaning of Innovation

Week which targets the individuals and

governments endeavours to build and

develop by generating new ideas.

Additionally, Al Hashemi explained the

objectives of the innovation and gave a

brief on the national strategy for innovation

which was initiated in the first quarter

of 2014, the most important elements of

innovation, its importance, its supporting

environment, its pioneers and the main

sectors that lead to innovation.

She pointed that the global indicator of

innovation has announced that UAE has

improved seven degrees since last year

which is considered something very

important. Additionally, it expresses the

insight vision of the wise leadership and the

efforts of many institutions and authorities

in the country.

Furthermore, the director of Mohammed

Bin Rashid Centre for Government

Innovation explained to the audience how

to communicate and participate in the

Innovation Week, referring to the necessity

of the direct coordination with the heads in

each emirate to consider the importance

of the diversity and distribution of the

participations.

Shatha Al Hashemi reviewed ‘Emirate

Innovates’ Gateway which is the electronic

platform that receives innovations from

all around the country in addition to the

already presented initiatives.

On the other hand, she invited all the

government institutions to participate

in the initiative of ‘Electronic Innovation

Course’ which is concerned in defining the

framework of the government innovation

and convert it to electronic course.

Finally, Al Hashemi referred to the

importance of the participation in this

initiative which its review does not

take more than 3 – 7 minutes, with the

participation of more than 40 thousands

around the world. The attendees watched

a documentary movie about the initiative

‘Emirate

Innovates’

which

included

explanation of the different stages of the

idea and the first week of innovation in the

last year.

Finally, Al Hashemi presented during the

session the statistics of the innovation

week results of the last year which was

distinguished by the great enthusiasm from

all the individuals and public and private

institutions.

Last year innovation week included more

than 100 events, and was followed by

more than 1.5 million readers in the daily

newspapers, in addition to more than 50

million like and more than 60 thousand

visits.
