Dubai Police smart app is one
of the most popular apps in the
region on ‘Google Play’. It of-
fers around 32 important ser-
vices including paying traffic
fines, searching for the nearest
police station and obtaining a
good conduct certificate which
is available only for Emiratis in
the first phase.
In order to use the app, people
need to have a valid ID card
because all the information will
be taken from the ID card of the
person who is using the app.
Fast Track
The Fast Track service allows
the user to file a complaint or
report via smartphone and to
make an appointment at the po-
lice station. Anyone who has a
case at any of the police stations
can also inquire about it via the
new app.
Crime Prevention
Another important service avail-
able on the Android apps is pre-
venting crimes by providing the
police with information and re-
ports about crimes or suspected
crimes.
With the new app, the public
can also take pictures or videos
of a crime or traffic accident and
send them directly to the special
server at Dubai Police. People
can even send direct complaints
to the acting chief of police or to
the deputy chief of police and
general security.
Community Services
The Android app services in-
clude community services such
as the SOS-emergency call
in which people can press the
SOS button and use the voice
command on the smartphone to
call for help. They can say ‘help
me’ in Arabic or English and the
police emergency and operation
room will call them back immedi-
ately. Tourists can also commu-
nicate with the tourist security
via Android in case they need
police assistance.
Social Media
Through its social media ser-
vice, people can check about
pharmacies on duty and also
can apply for the critically-ill pa-
tients’ service for those who are
suffering from an illness that has
put their life in danger — this
service will be linked directly to
the operation room.
