Customs “Smart Claim” System
Dubai Customs’ recently launched
Smart Claim System has attained
tangible positive outcomes, as part
of the Department’s array of smart
services. The smart claim system
is aimed to control the refund of all
cash or bank guarantees paid as se-
curity for customs deposits of goods
imported under cases of suspended
duties, as well as securities paid for
other purposes.
The new service was well received
by customers, as 16800 service
requests were submitted since its
launch on October 1st 2013.
The new Claim System contributes
to saving efforts and time and allows
clients to reduce cost as they can
process their claims remotely. It also
allows Dubai Customs to partially
utilize efforts of its staff who work in
customer service centers to achieve
greater productivity by moving them
to other work fields that cope with
the new stage, in which technology
is widely used enabling employees
to increase their achievements’ ca-
pabilities.
The launch of this new smart system
comes to facilitate customs proce-
dures and enable clients to finalize
their transactions wherever they are
through their smart phones or other
electronic channels.
