Anti-
seasickness
mobile
Experts at Imperial College London are
now developing a mobile app they claim
will fight seasickness as well as other
types of motion sickness. A mild electric
shock is passed to the scalp via a set of
electrodes.
UK-based Daily Mail said that according
to the Imperial scientists, a mild electrical
current applied to the scalp dampens the
activity of the part of the brain responsible
for processingmotion signals. The problem
with treatments for motion sickness is that
the effective ones are usually tablets that
also make people drowsy, but the currents
involved are very small and there is no
reason to expect any adverse effects from
short term use.
The device or mobile app, which should
be available soon to the public, can
fight motion sickness symptoms of
dizziness, severe nausea and cold sweats
experienced by passengers and workers
onboard boats.
Emirates Transport offers 7 main services on its “Emirates
Transport” mobile app, which is available on App Store and
Google Play. In the first half of this year, Emirates Transport
achieved 100% of smart transformation requirements.
The “Emirates Transport” app offers a host of transport and
relevant technical services includingbookinganappointment for
preventive or corrective maintenance, booking an appointment
for technical inspection, and more specific services such as
changing bus routes, requesting contract for the provision of
student transport services at private schools, and providing
details of students transported by bus to parents. The app
further allows Emirates Transport customers to apply for and
participate in auctions organized by it.
