

The National Emergency Crisis and
Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA)
launched its mobile app, in line with
directives from His Highness Sheikh
Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE National
Security Advisor.
The app aims to enable the public to have
immediate and effective access to NCEMA’s
content on their mobile devices, and obtain
all the information and services provided by
the authority. Services include awareness
programs, warnings and notifications,
guidelines and information provided by
NCEMA to help individuals and the society
avoid risks, through the latest multi-media
channels. Services also include news,
activities and events by NCEMA.
The app contains a host of information that is
categorized systematically to enhance easy
access using mobile technologies. Through
the app, NCEMA aims to enhance the
public knowledge of and interaction with its
programs, activities and services including
news, initiatives, projects, publications and
shelter centers designated throughout the
UAE, as well as informing on ways to join
the national volunteers program.
The app further provides real-time and direct
contact in cases of emergency, and the alerts
issued by NCEMA in cases of emergency.

MoI urges the public to get police
clearance certificates via
UAE-MOI
The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has called
upon individuals wishing to obtain a Police
Clearance Certificate, also known as
a Certificate of Good Conduct, to take
advantage of the cutting-edge, smart
services provided through the Ministry’s
website
www.moi.gov.ae, and smartphone
application, UAE-MOI.
According to Brigadier Sheikh Mohammed
bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Director General
of Security and Ports Affairs at Abu Dhabi
Police, the smart services that the UAE
provides through various channels represent
a civilized step in the contemporary world.
“The UAE Government strives to provide
advanced smart services for citizens,
residents and visitors alike through quick and
easy steps that are accessible wherever they
are,” he said.
Adding further, the Director General of
Security and Ports Affairs highlighted the
MoI’s keenness to strengthen its role and
provide its services through skilled and
professional national personnel using state-
of-the-art equipment and tools. “Through this
approach, the UAE is ranked 12th worldwide
in the index of reliability of police services;
and is ranked first in the fight against
organized crime, according to the Global
Competitiveness Report 20132014- issued
by the World Economic Forum,” he said.
“The Ministry›s efforts do not stop here,
as it endeavors to continue forth with its
specialized work teams to pave the way for
a bright and successful future by constantly
seeking ways to provide more sophisticated,
smart and hassle-free services for citizens,
residents and visitors,” he said. Moreover,
he emphasized that the Ministry of Interior’s
smart e-services save both time and effort,
as these services are available anytime and
anywhere.
