Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque launched two smart applications and
developed its website. The smart application ‘Al Morshid’ is considered
and electronic self-guiding application provided in eleven languages. This
application explains in details all the details of the Mosque, so that the non-
Arab foreign visitors and tourists who do not speak Arabic or English can have
enough information about this inclusive landmark.
This application shall achieve the Mosque strategy aiming at enhancing the
cultural communication between the nations, and to become the nucleus of
the cultural and national movement that expresses the concepts and values
set by the late His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, May Allah
Bless His Soul, to reinforce the national identity.
Sheikh Zayed Mosque also developed its Website to include a great number
of smart services such as: reservations, suggestions, claims and inquiries, the
accurate map of the Mosque which enables the visitor to reach the mosque
from any location in the country to the mosque centre.
The second application is ‘Zayed Mosque’ which enables smart services on
both IOS and Android. The application has multiple services that include:
the prayers time, Al Adan and Iqama, parking, tourism reservations since
the mosque is witnessing a great attendance from all around the world. It is
considered the third mosque on the world level that is distinguished by its
architectural style and exceptional landmarks.
It is worth noting that Sheikh Zayed Mosque started providing its smart
services for its visitors and worshippers who are about 4 million persons and
the number is expected to rise.
‘Smart Dubai’ has launched its gate of the
unified services platform ‘Dubai Now’
which is available now as an application on the
smart phones.
‘Dubai Now’ application is considered the first
channel created in ‘Dubai Now’ platform to
provide an integrated experience for the city
services that cover all the daily needs of its
citizens and residents, available on I Phone and
Android devices.
The General Manager of ‘Smart Dubai’, Her
Excellency Dr Aisha Bint Butti Bin Bishr, said that
‘Dubai Now’ Platformis a strong example of what
wecanachieve thehappinessof peoplewhenwe
work together as government departments and
privatesector,andbyprovidingaunifiedplatform
to Dubai services throughout the platform and
enabling the information exchange, hereby we
contribute in making the city experiments more
flexibleandeffectiveforthecitizensandresidents
of Dubai, and making the city more active and
secured to enhance and achieve the vision of
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid
Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and
Ruler of Dubai, May Allah Protect Him, to make
Dubai the happiest city in the world.
