There are 500 million tweets sent on Twitter per day; 76% of Internet
users user Twitter every day in the MENA region; 79% of users log
in Twitter via their smartphones, according to Shailesh Rao, Vice
President International Operation of Twitter.

About 40% of adult Apple iPhone owners in the
United States are interested in buying the com-
pany’s new Apple Watch, according to a new Re-
uters/Ipsos poll. Apple Watch, which will range in
price from $350 to $17,000 for an 18-karat gold
model, is Apple Inc’s first major new product in
five years.
Tablet shipments expected to in-
crease by 2.1% in 2015
Only 2.1% increase is expected in tablet
shipments in 2015, reaching 234,5 mil-
lion units, according to a recent report by
IDC.
Robot sales rose 27% in 2014
Sales of industrial robots worldwide rose 27 percent
in 2014. The International Federation of Robots (IFR)
said about 225,000 robots were sold in 2014, almost
two-thirds of them in Asia.
WhatsApp hits 1 billion downloads on Android
WhatsApp co-founder and CEO Jan Koum said the messag-
