GITEX Technology Week in its largest
prospective events between 16 and 20
October this year, and for the first time in its
history, hosts event of theactivityof emerging
companies,whichisconsideredasthebiggest
event of its kind in the region and the wider
in the global participation at the international
level.
GITEX Technology Week seeks to advance
efforts to smart and digital transform in
the Middle East and support the young
entrepreneurs by the employers, in order to
enhance the leading and prominent position,
to which Dubai and United Arab Emirates
have reached in the world stage, in field of
smart and digital transform.
Arab Innovation
GITEX Technology Week draws the attention
to the Arab and International innovation,
executing the vision of His Highness Sheikh
Mohammed binRashidAl Maktoum, theVice
President and Prime Minister of the United
Arab Emirates (UAE), and Ruler of Dubai, to
reach an international position in innovation
in the digital economy and creating a
sustainable economic growth within Dubai
Plan 2021.
It is expected that GITEX Technology Week
held under the theme of «the reality with
innovative perceptions», will be one of the
most effective showcases of Information and
Communications Technology.
Event organizers expect that more than 100
thousand visitors from 150 countries, and in
the participationof 230 international speakers
over 130hours fromconferences anddebates,
will attend the event , which will be hold on
the largest space in its history about more
than million square feet.
It is expected that more than 400 companies
from60countries, inadditiontoa thousandof
businessmen and investors, will participate in
the activity of emerging companies inGITEX,
in order to benefit from the opportunities
available for investment, sale and gain
knowledge. %79 of emerging countries from
all over theworldwill attend this evet, whereas
58 companies will represent United Arab
Emirates.
In the same context, the reconciling program
between the participants in the activity of
emerging companies will permit more than
200 investors from America, Asia and the
Middle East to check the plans of commercial
business of the emerging and promising
companies, focusingonyoungandemerging
talents in the region.
Creation of opportunities
Trixie LohMirmand, Senior Vice President,
Dubai World Trade Centre, organizers of
GITEX Technology Week 2016, confirmed
that the showcase seeks to create a great
opportunity for companies and emerging
projects to meet the global investors whether
for funding or gaining and participating
experiences and information. She said «we
notice lots of innovation and ambition in
these ventures and in young Arab minds,
making it necessary to contact with similar
ventures and companies in other countries
which have already achieved a major
successes, in order to share experiences and
inspire innovation.»
United Arab Emirates is in the forefront in
supporting entrepreneurs in countries of the
Middle East and North Africa, while it is in
the nineteenth rank in the world, according
to the 2016 Global Entrepreneurship Index.
