His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin

Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum,

the crown prince of Dubai, Chief Executive

Officer has considered the initiative of

Innovation Labs launched by His Highness

SheikhMohammedbinRashidAlMaktoum,

Vice President and Prime Minister of the

United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Emir

of Dubai (May Allah Protect him), as an

influential and effective source of support

to our capabilities in order to develop more

creative ideas through taking advantage

of the interactive outlets in a specialized

discussion about the different requirements

of development according to the objectives

defined by Dubai Plan 2021.

The government of Dubai is keen on

activating the role of innovation labs

as vital channels, which encourage

the participation of private sector and

community individuals in developing

the comprehensive working system in

the Emirate in order to promote the UAE

competitiveness and confirm the ability of

Dubai to realize its big goals prepared for

future of the development process.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed has

stressed that the advanced style adopted by

the government of Dubai requires several

creative ideas that help in realizing the

ambitious development visions in our state

in general and in the Emirate of Dubai in

particular.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed attended

themeeting of the General Secretariat of the

Executive Council of Dubai in the presence

of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum Bin

Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the

deputy ruler of Dubai. During the meeting,

the final report of the Dubai Plan 2021’s

Innovation Labs outcomes was reviewed.

Sheikh Hamdan has directed to complete

accurate studies of

all necessary

ideas

and

proposals

floated by the innovations lab. He also

ordered to immediately implement the valid

ideas and proposals and give them priority

on the government agenda to address

challenges, maximize opportunities in

order to ensure the application of the

wise leadership vision towards achieving

happiness and satisfaction for the people

through enhancing the performance,

efficiencyandoutcomeofthegovernmental

work system to the highest levels.

The General Secretariat of the Executive

Council of Dubai has revealed the final

report of the innovation labs 2016, which

held under the umbrella of Dubai Plan 2021,

with a purpose of developing creative ideas

and initiatives that contribute to realizing

the goals of Dubai Plan 2021 and happiness

and welfare for everyone.

The innovation labs are considered an

interactive platform, through which

the developments of Dubai Plan 2021

are reviewed. The innovation labs were

attended by His Highness Sheikh Maktoum

BinMohammedbinRashidAlMaktoum,His

Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed

bin Rashed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the

Supreme Committee for the Protection

of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities,

Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid

Al Maktoum, Deputy Chairperson of the

Board of Directors of Dubai Culture and

Arts Authority, along with several honorable

Ministers, members of the Federal National

Council, and a group of Director Generals

of Dubai Government in order to review

the progress of discussions, which were

participated by more than 100 experts from

the public and private sectors and several

specialists in different fields, who help in

enriching the selected issues and ensuring

the inclusion of best international practices

due to their experiences.

In this context, the Secretary General of

Dubai

Executive

Council

Abdullah

Al Shaibani, has explained that the

government of Dubai prioritized executing

the recommendations of the final report of

theinnovationDubaiPlan2021’sInnovation

Labs. «We in the Secretariat General with

collaboration of relevant authorities are

conducting detailed studies to ensure a

quick execution of ideas and initiatives that

help in realizing the objectives of Dubai

Plan 2021,» he said.

For her part, Assistant Secretary General for

the strategic Management and Governance

Sector Aisha Miran has considered the

innovation labs as an access to implement

Dubai Plan 2021, mainly «Dubai Pulse»

report, which defines the developments

of the plan projects. She noted that the

innovation labs has witnessed a great

interaction between the participants, saying

that 105 recommendations of total labs

have been extracted to fill the gaps and face

challenges that have been identified during

the discussions.

This year, the agenda of innovation labs

includes discussing several strategic

issues as part of Dubai Plan 2021. The

discussions aim at finding creative,

empowered individuals, creating a

solid society based on integrated

families and communities and

a city, which is the best to live

and work and is the preferred

destination for visitors under

the umbrella of an innovative

andproactivegovernment that

meet theneeds of citizens and

society. They also are meant

to create a smart, creative

and sustainable city in

managing its resources

and depending on a

strong and sustainable

economy.
