Robot to dispense medicines in DHA pharmacies

Pharmaceutical Department in Dubai Health Authority DHA started
to introduce the latest international technologies in DHA pharmacies
through robot technologies to satisfy the patients in order to achieve
zero-waiting in the pharmacies to take medicines.
Dr. Ali Al Sayad, Head of Department said that the introduction of robot
in DHA pharmacies will reduce the waiting time for the customers in
DHA and he indicated that the first robot to dispense medicine has been
installed in Al Jalila Hospital inmid April. Another one will be installed in
Rashid Hospital next June then in Dubai Hospital before the year end, he
indicated that the robot introduction process in DHA health center will
take three years.
He said that the current condition of medicines dispensation in DHA
pharmacies is good as the waiting period in Latif Hospital reached
zero i.e. before the patient reached the pharmacy to , the medicine has
already been dispensed as the medical prescription is directly sent to the
pharmacy.
He also added that DHA launched Dawaaee app in order to improve the
services and transactions for the customers. It is a smart application and
deals with the human sense of patients. Furthermore, it focuses on the
customers’ needs for treatment and prevention which DHA provides in
order to achieve the customer satisfaction and happiness.
He said that the app is a user-friendly and helps patients to adhere to
the medicines times and the app allows to add other family members
and elders. It also enables to view directly the patient pharmaceutical file
around theworld especially that the app is connectedwithDHA electrical
pharmaceutical database and ability to add other medicines which are
dispensed other than DHA pharmacies.

centers.
This system enables Smart Dubai City
Office to know the customers happiness
rate anytime and anywhere in Dubai.
Based upon this system generated reports,
the office plans for the city management as
per the best international standards. It is
also intended to achieve the directions and
leading vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed
bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-
President, Prime Minister, Ruler of Dubai in
order to develop and improve Dubai to be
one of the best international cities through
the development of public and private
sectors performance and motivating
infrastructure.
