Who needs a transit visa?
If you are not eligible for a visa on arrival or a visa-free entry to the UAE, and intend to step out of the airport, then you need a pre-arranged transit visa.
Where to apply for a transit visa?
You need to apply to:
- the UAE-based airlines you are travelling on
- a travel agency or
- airport hotel.
Duration of transit visa
A transit visa is issued for either 48 or 96 hours. It is a single-entry visa and cannot be extended.
