Driven by the Ministry of
Education belief in the key role that the teacher plays in achieving the
education vision of the Emirati School, the Ministry of Education has
implemented specialized training targeting 23 thousand teachers held in 297
locations across the nation. Locations were prepared and fitted to provide
professional development service to all those targeted within an appealing,
comfortable and supportive learning environment.
The specialized training
comes in response to the needs of the targeted staff in the educational field
and is based on the results of an accurate and in-depth ongoing scientific
study carried out by the Training and Professional Development Department of
the Ministry of Education. The study includes all those targeted in training;
specialists working in curriculum development, evaluation, educational leaders
and everything related to the teacher.
This year, the specialized
training saw the launch of the "Parent Engagement" program, as the
Ministry of Education recognizes the inspiring role that parents play in
achieving the learning goals of their children, as partners in the learning and
teaching process.
In the specialized training,
we are committed to providing teachers with both the most important research
and studies in the field of specialization as well as strategies, tools and
techniques that enhance their capabilities as teachers to achieve the goals of
learning and education operations in their schools. It also aims to raise their
level of motivation as well as enhance their ability to play their roles as
teachers in schools, develop their skills to keep pace with the latest
developments in education to achieve the ministry's ambitious plans, and
provide high-quality education, and qualified human resources.
Specialized training provides
teachers and school leaders with an ideal opportunity to share ideas and engage
in scientific discussions about the curriculum, and effective ways to apply
them, through the training workshops provided. Topics that increase their
ability to lead the educational process in their schools are presented within
an informed leadership approach guided by latest knowledge in leading the
learning and teaching process.
The training workshops were
divided into 36 programs for the subjects taught in the Arabic language, and 26
programs for the subjects taught in the English language, in addition to
programs for laboratory specialists, educational guides, learning resource
specialists, kindergarten teachers, theater teachers, and Chinese language
teachers.
1249 competent and qualified
trainers were prepared within a specialized program to be good trainers who are
capable of providing training professionally and aptly.
