Sometimes man needs to stimulate his imagination to return to the old times and experience that time when the land of the UAE was free of all those modern manifestations. Although it is the same land with the same climatic conditions, not to mention the lack of water, planting and livestock, the ancestors did not leave it and did not give up any excuse to fail to defend it. They instead continued for centuries sacrificing their lives for a barren desert, which is the same today as the United Arab Emirates.

Those ancestors have preserved that land because they carried solid values that have never wavered. The most important of such values have stemmed from religion and human nature, which prompted the sane and healthy man to defend his land and honor. Such incentives, however, were boosted by the noble values of the Emirates tribes, which throughout history have not accepted surrender to any circumstances, all of which have created conditions, and have devised several means to sustain life and continue to adhere to that land.

The land of the UAE today is not the land of yesterday. It has become a dream where every man seeks to live. The notable civilized life standards that the UAE witnesses today can set as an example for the whole world. We are fully confident that this blessed grace which has been granted to us by God Almighty, is also the outcome of the firm belief inherited by our generations based on work and fidelity encapsulated by relying on God the one and the only. It is worth noting here that the special Emirati approach, which does not stop expanding its relations with the countries of the world aspiring to peace and development, is, indeed, the outcome of the noble customs of friendship, the established Islamic traditions, as well as the wise vision of the UAE leadership for the consolidation of the international relations. Such adopted strategy, however, has produced a greater capacity for development and progress.

The Union of the Comoros is one of the most important countries with which the UAE has paid special attention to develop bilateral relations. Such relations stem from those shared values, and historical struggle that generations went through here in the Comoros. This has been accompanied by many difficulties, similar in many points to the struggle of the UAE compatriots throughout history, a matter that would help in possessing similar directions and ideas that would harmonize to adopt distinctive relationships between the two countries with no pitfalls.
